...index cards are so small...

Do you realize how small an index card is? If a baby were able to write, it'd be a normal sized piece of paper for a baby to write on. That surely is small!! I just realized that my entire life, in pictures and documents that is, now fits on something that is as small as an index card. I have just copied all of my valuable pictures which took hours upon hours to create, and with a few clicks of the mouse, they now sit inside a tiny black box. Maybe there is something to the "tiny black book " thing huh? Except for me, it's a "tiny black box"...it stores all memories, happy and sad, things I want to keep private or things I share with the world. They all sit in this box and I can carry it around with me anywhere, in my back pocket. The moment I decide to open up, I just plug it in and locate the file, and voila, a photograph appears...like the one of the hat here, it comes from that "little black box".

...photos...

...i've decided to try and take at least one great picture a day. Not necessarily on my DSLR but just one...a fun one, a creative one, an interesting one...one a day. If it succeeds, I'll start posting an updated photobucket slide show...wish me luck, creative luck that is...

...drowning....

So it's been forever since I've been on here. I think I'll update everyone on what has been going on for the past year!

I moved into my little condo in Tallahassee with no real problems. Going up and down the stairs reminded me of how out of shape I was, and also brought to the front burner that I had asthma! Thank goodness for health insurance...thanks Mom!!! I took about four weeks and moved in, and then found a job at Sonny's BBQ! Easy menu, quick money and short hours...NICE!

I started working part time and when school came around, I quickly found out how much work and effort as well as time and energy was actually needed in Art School! It takes a lot more than most might realize! As my great friend recently put it "The reason artists work so hard is that you have to be self motivated to be creative and to run a business at the same time. It takes a lot of work!" Eric is a smart guy!! He encouraged me to continue to pursue my passions at school. I will definitely continue!!!

I've been in for nearly a year counting Fall, Spring and Summer. I originally was nervous about how the kids would take to me. I'm 10 years their senior and I'm in school. To this day, I still surprise them with my age. In fact a friend recently told me that her boyfriend, a music major, asked when my 21st birthday was???? I LOVE THAT!!!

So back to my question from the last post....will I find a roommate?? Well I did. I had a roommate when I first moved in; she was here for the summer and really broke me in to realize what it was like to have a roommate again. I enjoyed her company and now she too is in the process of buying a house back in Panama City. I couldn't be more proud of her! I then had a new roommate who moved in with me in August. She is going to grad school here at FSU. We are extremly different, her in Chemistry and me in Art but she is a great roommate for me! She's quiet and loud all at the same time and a lot of fun! It's been almost a year and things are great so far!

I have two weeks left of summer school and then I'm home free until late August! I'm in the middle of updating my resume' so that hopefully I can get a "real" job that will pay decent money for the remainder of the summer. Maybe I'll be able to score a part time job because of a summer job. Wish me luck and keep me in your prayers.

Oh and by the way, Dean's List both semesters so far! I think I'll have straight A's for Summer!!

Miss and love everyone
